Looking to get your car detailed? Here are some tips to do it on your own if you have the time and patience.
Evaluate Interior and Exterior
Don’t rush the cleaning process. Your vehicle needs to care inside and out. The dash, rugs and carpet deserves just as much attention as the hood, roof and tires.
Start With Compressed Air
When you clean your car prior to detailing, use your air compressor and blow out dirt from the nooks and crannies of your cars floor so that it’s easily vaccumed.
Use A Portable Compression For That New Car Smell
Try using a portable compressor to blow out dirt out of heating and air conditioner duct work.
Use Non Acid Based Tire Cleaner
To clean tires, try using a non acid production. Use degreaser on wheels. Avoid detergent because they can damage paint.
Hand Wash Your Car
Hand Washing gives you a chance to familiarize yourself with your car and its surfaces.
It’s easy for bird droppings and dirt to get on your paint job. Try using pain cleaners that clean the top layer of the paint.
Smooth It Out
Polish the car to smooth out the surfact of the paint. It’ll help it shine and make it look newer.
Protect With Wax
Wax wear out over the course of a few months. Use liquid or paste. Try two coats.
